Les Grands Arbres is a small, family friendly gite and B&B complex in the heart of sunny Charente Maritime. If you're looking for a holiday which offers a superb swimming pool, top quality, self-catering accommodation and is easily accessible to all the interesting sites and events the locality has to offer - then look no further.

We aim to give a warm welcome to our guests and we hope that the onsite facilities and nearby attractions will enable you to enjoy the sort of holiday where you can visit the local markets to sample their delicious produce, explore the lovely countryside, visit the long sandy beaches, enjoy a meal at a typical french restaurant, or simply relax on the terrace with a glass of wine and listen to the birdsong. Our guests love it here and for us it's a great joy to provide something which is so much appreciated.

Our 3 gites are ready to welcome visitors throughout the year. Le Sapin is a spacious, family gite with 3 bedrooms, sleeping up to 7 people, plus cot, Le Chataignier can sleep 2/4 people, and Le Pommier is a delightful studio cottage ideal for couples. The heated pool (available June to mid September) is large and surrounded by a sheltered terrace with sun loungers, and each gite has its own private patio with dining tables and chairs plus a barbeque. The kids will have a great time in the garden messing about on the swings or playing table tennis, swingball, badmington, football or boules and we have a selection of bikes for your use (please bring your own safety helmets). Nearby you can enjoy, amongst other activities, golf, go-karting. kayaking and horse riding. Our local town of St Jean d'Angely has a wide selection of restaurants and Friday night is pizza night, from the nearby mobile pizza man. Plus, we have the advantage of a small village shop at which you can purchase your morning baguette and croissants, and a local pub in which to quench your thirst or get a bite to eat.
