Our Beautiful Architect designed Gîtes (awarded 3 stars by the Local Tourist Office)
The three cottages are converted to a very high standard from the original farm buildings and retain many original features. Our two hundred year old house (where Bed and Breakfast is available) is in the heart of Cognac country and like many of the maison charentaise in the village it once belonged to one of the wealthy vineyard owners. Alas, the production of Cognac at Les Grands Arbres ceased long before our time, but during the grape harvest you can still smell the spirit in the air around the many local wineries.
Facilities: The gites are well equipped for family catering & living and are provided with books, CDs, DVDs, UK Satellite TV, microwave, fridge, cooker, washing machine, heaters and fans. We can also provide cots, a high chair, baby bath and safety gate. Each gite has its own terrace, patio furniture and BBQ. A good selection of board games is available. All linen (with the exception of swimming towels) is provided. The gites are strictly non-smoking and unfortunately pets are not invited.
Out of Season: Our gites are available at favourable prices for long lets and have proved very popular with house hunters and those poor souls who have already bought a home here but are still renovating and don't want to sleep on the cement bags. We can also provide short lets or bed and breakfast, if you are paying a flying visit to look at a property or just taking a short break.
Our Garden: Since the completion of the renovation works, we have worked very hard to create an interesting and colourful garden. We are proud of what has been achieved and if you type 'garden' into the search box below, you can see pictures of the garden and some of the flowers to be found in it.
